At today’s Manufacturing Leadership Summit, Eaton CIO John Gercak spelled out some of the factors that are forcing the company to, as he said, move up the food chain and focus on supply/demand planning and optimization in addition to the company’s traditional focus on manufacturing. Like many company’s, Gercak said, Eaton is increasingly global, making optimizing the supply network more complex.
